cvs update date 'n' time

Hi,

we've just converted our repositories to CVS.
Now I have a problem, that my fellow co-workers like to see the modified
time of a file they have just updated.
cvs update seems to touch the file to give it the latest timestamp,
which is nice for make files, but not wanted in our case.

Is there an option for that?
cvs 1.11.21 & cvs 1.12.9
