WinCVS 2.0 is not detailed enough a description - you must specify exactly 
which version.

Again - the version number is very important - make sure you are using 
2.5.03.2382 or later on the XP client and the Debian server.  Also I recommend 
trying to import using the command line:
cvs import -n -m "import test" mytestmodule

If it works on the command line but not from WinCVS, report to WinCVS 
newsgroup.  If it does not work on the command line - report to the CVSNT 
newsgroup and supply a trace:
cvs -ttt import -n -m "import test" mytestmodule
