Hello,

I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Radius 1.6.

GNU Radius is a set of tools for remote user authentication and accounting.
The package includes server daemon, various client utilities, and a set of
administrator tools.

For more information on Radius, including links to file downloads,
please see the Radius web page: http://www.gnu.org/software/radius
and the Radius project page http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/radius.

Here are the compressed sources:
  ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/radius/radius-1.6.tar.gz    (2.6MB)
  ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/radius/radius-1.6.tar.bz2   (1.9MB)

Here are the GPG detached signatures[*]:
  ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/radius/radius-1.6.tar.gz.sig
  ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/radius/radius-1.6.tar.bz2.sig

Here are the MD5 and SHA1 checksums:

fea3fb09e659c50fd74bc9a25890e03c  radius-1.6.tar.gz
4096397dcd90331e80713fe324f037d1  radius-1.6.tar.bz2
5e02c05db59ea83db4704a7063aae8c687b4490c  radius-1.6.tar.gz
0a0ecf76d0d8be74aa4172c631c422019926ca6d  radius-1.6.tar.bz2

[*] You can use either of the above signature files to verify that
the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First,
be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball.
Then, run a command like this:

  gpg --verify radius-1.6.tar.gz.sig

If that command fails because you don't have the required public key,
then run this command to import it:

  gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 55D0C732

and rerun the `gpg --verify' command.

This release was bootstrapped with the following tools:
  Autoconf 2.61
  Automake 1.10.1
  Libtool 2.2.5a
  Gnulib-tool 0.0.1317-d51f4-modified

The list of user-visible changes follows:

* Configuration file raddb/config

The syslog statement takes an optional 3rd argument specifying syslog
tag to use, e.g.:

    channel default {
            syslog local1.info radiusd;
    };

* New attributes

** GNU-Server-Address

Holds IP address of the RADIUS server that recieved the
request. Notice, that the value of this attribute is "0.0.0.0" if
there are no `listen' statements in your `raddb/config'.

** GNU-Server-Port

Holds UDP port number of the RADIUS server that recieved the request.

* Autoconf function AM_GNU_RADIUS is provided, for checking if
GNU Radius is installed.

* Guile support requires Gule version 1.8 or later.

* Bugfixes
** Pass NAS-IP-Address to mlc_stop_query

Regards,
Sergey
