problem solved. In my .gnus.el
(add-to-list 'gnus-secondary-select-methods '(nnml ""))
(add-to-list 'gnus-secondary-select-methods '(nnslashdot ""))
(setq mm-url-use-external t)
(setq mm-url-program 'wget)
Dont know why this fixed it, but it works.
