Hi,

I can see the exact same problem with an imap.gmail.com group that
contains greek characters on them:

  *: nnimap+imap.gmail.com:&A5QDuQOxA7MDwQOxA7wDvAOtA70DsQ-

And obviously, I cannot connect to the group. However the group can be
accessed correctly through the server buffer.
