Hello to all.

I'm brand new to Jailkit. I've installed the latest version from source on a
CentOS 3.8 box. I've followed the instruction carefully for jailing a user
in a particular directory. I can start the sftp process by entering "sftp
address@hidden, but immediately get a "Connection closed" message.
The output of the syslog on the sftp server is:

Nov 9 17:55:49 hingham jk_socketd[22012]: version 2.1, listening on
socket /var/log/jailkit with rates [1024:10240]/2.000000
Nov 9 17:55:49 hingham jk_socketd[22012]: version 2.1, listening on
socket /home/sftproot/dev/log with rates [512:2048]/10.000000
Nov 9 17:56:06 hingham sshd(pam_unix)[22018]: session opened for user
ftpaccount by (uid=0)
Nov 9 17:56:06 hingham jk_chrootsh[22019]: now entering jail /home/sftproot
for user ftpaccount (504)
Nov 9 17:56:06 hingham jk_chrootsh[22019]: abort, failed to get user
information in the jail for user ID 504: Permission denied,
check /home/sftproot/etc/passwd
Nov 9 17:56:06 hingham sshd(pam_unix)[22018]: session closed for user
ftpaccount

I've checked /home/sftproot/etc/passwd, and it looks as it should:

ftpaccount:x:504:504::/home/ftpaccount:/usr/sbin/jk_lsh

Where am I going wrong here?

Thanks for your help.

Diggy
