I have followed instruction at: http://olivier.sessink.nl/jailkit/howtos_ssh_only.html and when attempting to login to the server with a jail’d user I see the following in /var/log/messages:

 

Mar 24 19:05:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[21624]: abort, path /home/chrootusers/./home/username is not a directory

 

Server environment:

CentOS 5.2 64-bit

Enabled jailkit yum repo: http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/jailkit/

 

Errors I saw during specific setup commands:

 

jk_init -v -j /home/chrootusers ssh

ldconfig: Can't open configuration file /etc/ld.so.conf: No such file or directory

 

jk_cp -v -f /home/chrootusers /bin/bash

ldconfig: Can't open configuration file /etc/ld.so.conf: No such file or directory

 

jk_init -v -f /home/chrootusers jk_lsh

ldconfig: Can't open configuration file /etc/ld.so.conf: No such file or directory

 

/etc/ld.so.conf does exist:

address@hidden /]# cat /etc/ld.so.conf

include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
