Dear Sir or Madam.

Find attached a screenshot.
Steps to reproduce? Try to establish a videochat.

What i found out with three different peers(all using the android app):

p1 and me in the same wlan:
videochat: see attached picture.
textchat: working
voicecall: working but very bad quality

p1 on 3G/LTE, me on wlan: textchat with very high lag
other stuff not tried

p2 and me in different wlan:
textchat works with bad lag
voice/videochat could not be established from either side

p3 and me in different wlan:
no connection

We all struggled with how to use the app.
It's not very selfexplaining and makes overall a very "nerdy" impression.
We all have chosen not to use it any further. Maybe someday it will be useful for everyone but not now.
No offense. after all it's still "beta".

Best wishes and may it come out as planned.

Justin

Hi! Thanks for reporting the bug.
Can you include a screenshot and, possibly, steps to reproduce the
bug?

Thanks!

Hello Justin,

Thank for your support.

Please write in the mailing list about this or on our IRC channel,
emails at this address (address@hidden) won't have
the
same impact because we need to transfert the information to the
Ring

Dear Sir or Madam.

I am no native english speaker and no coder. Just a privacy
interested
enduser. Therefore i love the whole idea about Ring.
But i'm sorry i can't contribute in a helpful manner.

I don't understand the whole process of bug reporting via tuleap
and
the
other stuff on the website. looks like there is no community
forum
also.
So i decided to just write you about my problem.

I understand the term "beta" and therefore i know i cant expect a
stable
software.

My problem is the videochat. I am able to connect to another
android
phone. we both see our own frontcamera image in the lower right
corner
and we see that there is some video in the upper section of the
screen.
But this section is distorted. i can best describe it as some
jagged
lines. Like there is some video but you can't see it because the
lines
where not in the right order or for another resolution. (Don't
know who
to say it better. excuse my bad english)
Is there something i can do about it?

I hope i can reach you by this way and this is a reading account.
Best wishes and regards,

Justin.
