Hi,
can you edit /etc/X11/XF6Config-4 with vi and suppress all the lines
with "Modeline" at begin ?
and restart startx?
Tried this with the pre10 iso with no postive results.
I can't guess what's wrong.
Can you send me some files? The more simple is to use an usb key.
You can copy them on a usb key with this commands: first you need to
mount the partition.
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt
if you have no usb key, you can copy on the hd:
parted /dev/hda print
that will give you the list of the partition. Get the number of the
MacOS main partition.
IF YOU HAVE A HFSPLUS PARTITION DON'T MOUNT IT AS HFS!!!
on MacOS9 partitions (hfs)
mount -t hfs /dev/hda5 /mnt
(this works only on pre9)
or with MacOSX (hfs extended)
mount -t hfsplus /dev/hda5 /mnt
if hda5 is the main partition of MacOS
and to copy the files:
cp file /mnt
I need the following files:
/etc/sysconfig/xserver
/etc/X11/XF866Config-4
Please do again:
lspci > lspci.log
lspci -n > lspcin.log
and send me the 2 logs.
thanks,
