@Christian, just for curiosity, is there any document or example showing MHD + WS? I can't provide it since I'm not familiar with WS, but it would be nice if someone could provide one for us. 😅

You need to initiate another HTTP request from the client, again do the
upgrade and then handle resumption within your application protocol.
