Hi,
The problem is not old compiler, but your old version of GnuTLS.
It should be fixed by 155ac53ed4221c4af0a00e85b90a6a10a32e4c75.
You can try one of the following:
* compile MHD from latest git master,
* update GnuTLS,
* or disable HTTPS by '--disable-https' configure parameter.
