I bought an mSATA SSD, with the knowledge that the X200 mobo has two
full-size slots with which it could go in. The coreboot wiki page for the
X200 claims that all 3 slots do work, so I assumed mSATA would. I assumed
wrong, however there is no documentation to say it does or does not,
however the Lenovo BIOS does. Also the X220 page
(http://www.coreboot.org/Board:lenovo/x220) explicitly states it supports
msata in coreboot which is what mislead me (I thought if it worked on X220
it would work on X200).
Is it possible to take the mSATA code from the X220 coreboot port and
apply it to work with the Libreboot X200? Or does the feature require
proprietary microcode?
Thanks for reading.
