just to remember us that we all have a BIG problem here:

Installing Linux on Windows 8 PCs: No easy answers | ITworld

Free Software Foundation recommendations for free operating system
distributions considering Secure Boot — Free Software Foundation — working

TechBytes Episode 69: Richard Stallman on Restricted Boot (UEFI), Coreboot,
GRUB, and Boot Freedom | Techrights

fedora's or ubuntu's "solutions" are NOT solutions... in my opinion, such kind
of approach - that simply try to overcome the obstacle (as long, not for long,
will be allowed to do it) - are as a passive and implicit acceptance of an
injustice, encourage us to not fight enough for a radical solution (as the
total elimination of any TC/DRM system) and leave room for the enemies of our
freedom for future abuse others: in this way end up being part of the problem
than a solution ...

but, more generally, we have a pressing need to fight in a radical way against
the increasing pervasiveness of systems TC/DRM... before it's too late!

i think that avoid buying hardware (computers, smartphones, readers, etc.) with
Restricted Boot (UEFI) and/or ANY pre-installed proprietary operating system
can be a first step, but it certainly is not remotely enough ...
