>That is great new technology. Nothing wrong with it.
Oh, absolutely! Let’s just hand over the keys to our personal identities
to anyone with a computer. Who needs privacy when we can have our voices
hijacked for "innovative" purposes? Who wouldn’t want their voice used
to sell random products or commit fraud? What a brilliant idea!
>Right! ☺️
Exactly! And next, we can start licensing our farts and sneezes! We’ll
create a whole new economy based on the sounds we make. Who knew human
biology could be so profitable?
>You don't need to defend as there is no case. Or there is? Someone
took the voice from you?
Oh, come on! Why would anyone ever need to steal your voice? It’s not
like there’s a long history of tech being exploited for nefarious
purposes or anything. Totally safe, no worries, just a little
“innovation.” No harm in making yourself sound like a criminal or a fake
CEO for a day, right?
>We have got enough TTS.
Of course! Who needs voice cloning when we can just use robotic voices
that sound like they’re reading off a grocery list? Nothing like the
charm of a monotone, synthetic voice to make you feel connected.
>Malicious people you can't stop with funny statements on a mailing
list anyway. It is futile.
Oh, well, if it can't be stopped, let’s just sit back and let the tech
do whatever it wants. Why bother protecting our voices, faces, or data
when it’s all so much more fun watching everything fall apart?
have fun and be free
