Most likely yes.  :)

But that would be a new feature, so another one for the "look at it
post-2.0" list..

Actually, I think it is a bug.  Telling the user to add libtool.m4
to aclocal.m4 will not result in a working configure script.  See
my patch [284] for the solution...
