While there are some "new" features in HEAD that are not in branch-2-0, I
don't believe them to be destabalizing. Ralf's speedups by themselves are,
in my opinion, worth the pain of dumping current branch-2-0 for HEAD.

The other new features include the testsuite, which has also proven its worth.

Sorry Gary, branch-2-0 was branched with a release in sight, "a couple of
weeks", but that was a very long time ago...
