New issue 3521 by address@hidden: lyrics/extenders alignment with chords shouldn't depend on note input order
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3521

With a chord containing a harmonic second (i.e. one note is
shifted), and a lyric with a melisma or tie, and an extender
specified in the input...

1) LP aligns the left edge of the lyric text with the first note
*entered* in the input, not necessarily the left-most note.

2) LP aligns the right edge of the lyric extender with the first
note entered in the input, not necessarily the right-most note.

In the picture attached, three input styles are shown to produce
three different results, but I think all three should produce the
same output (equivalent to #3), where the lyric starts at the
left edge of left-most note and the extender ends at the right
edge of the right-most note, regardless of input order.

This can happen when typesetting choral music.
