and following for a problem description.  In this case, Lilypond-book  
failed inside of a directory with the name
/home/marcos/partes/Biblioteca/Metodos-Violin/Kayser-Op20-36-Estudios-[Fritz  
Meyer-ed-Schott-Germany]/tmp/
in this case triggered by the brackets [].

It may be worthwhile to audit other uses of glob.glob in the LilyPond  
codebase, but for now I am just doing this one.
