Incidentally, I discovered this because of trying to cherry-pick issue 5291 into the stable branch. The regtest (issue 5295) balked not just because of the \version
line but also because of "unexpected post-event" errors. It turned out that the bug addressed in this issue was masked by the sweep-up action of (non-cherry-picked) issue 5181.

Fix result type of composed partial functions
When using \etc for composing multiple partial functions into a single
function, the resulting signature takes the trailing argument list
from the last such composed function. However, the type of the
resulting function (music or event or scheme function) is that from
the first function.
The previous implementation got this wrong.
