I found this at the cygwin archives:

"size_of_stack_reserve" is what gdb uses when it doesn't know the address
of a function.

Compile the program with -g and make sure it is not stripped and you will
be able to get a more meaningful stack trace.

I thought lilypond builds with debugging as default?
