I agree that preprocessors may have their use, but I don't see the
point of putting it --preprocessor into ly2dvi. Heck,

      m4 foo.m4 | ly2dvi -o foo -
      ly2dvi --preprocessor=m4 foo

the 2nd is even longer to type!
