feature request: midi execution of ties

Hi,

I don't know if this should be a bug report or a feature request, but
here it goes..

The midi output is considerably better in the last versions, but it
still doesn't take ties into consideration. For instance, four tied
quarter notes are played separately, instead of a whole note:

c4 ~ c ~ c ~ c

Any chance to have this in cvs soon? :-)

I'm using lilypond 1.9.0
