Ok.  lilypond-book has been rewritten in 2.1.21, which may be good or
bad for you, maybe you should give that a try.

You'll just have to look at/send part of the latex file and see what's
in there.  It may well be a bug in the previous lilypond-book, as
'meter' is a unit of measure.  The prevous lilypond-book tried to do
all sorts of 'smart' things...
