So should I put these changes to 2.4.4 source files?


No, they are already in 2.4-CVS (or you may try the pathes below).  Do
something like:

   cvs -d :ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/lilypond co -rlilypond_2_4 -d 
lilypond-2.4 lilypond
I'm not sure if/when 2.4.4 will happen, CVS is still at 2.4.3. 
I don't understand this. 2.4.4 has been released on 18 January, hasn't it?

Nevertheless, I'll try the CVS.
