Sorry to say, but at least I don't understand this text, I think
one or two examples explain much better. Also, the mathematics doesn't really make sense, I would say that the duration is n/m. Finally, your text seems to indicate that you can say
(make-moment 3 (make-moment 2 4)), which isn't true. I propose something like:
As the example illustrates, @code{ly:make-moment n m} constructs a
duration of n/m, for example @code{ly:make-moment 1 8} is an eight note duration and @code{ly:make-moment 7 16} is the duration of seven sixteenths notes.
