I have
address@hidden ~]$ grep gs-load-fonts ~lilydev/vc/lilypond/make/*e
/home/lilydev/vc/lilypond/make/lilypond-vars.make:LILYPOND_BOOK_LILYPOND_FLAGS=-dbackend=eps
--formats=ps,png,pdf $(LILYPOND_JOBS) -dinclude-eps-fonts
-dgs-load-fonts --header=texidoc -I $(top-src-dir)/input/manual
-dcheck-internal-types -ddump-signatures
-danti-alias-factor=$(ANTI_ALIAS_FACTOR)
the -dgs-load-fonts should do the trick. If you can figure out which
files force the actual font load (and show a --verbose output for
that), that would be great.
