There is most probably a typo in manual section '2.5.6 How to read the
manual' in the second paragraph. The last sentence

---
has too many our-s, however, it doesn't seem clear to me, what was its
intended wording. It could be:

we have explicitly stated either \relative or absolute-mode { }.
---
