Leave that material there, but don't more stuff like it. There
are a few NR subsubsections that go into such details (setting
automatic beams comes to mind).

I'm not convinced that \stopStaff and \removeEmptyStaff are good ways
of creating ossia.
My hope is that the advanced users / developers can discuss this and
reach some consensus, and then you'd document those 2-4 good solutions
in NR 1.6.2.2.
