When the bug reports get immediate replies or questions, there is a tendency to
wait for the discussion to die down before opening a new issue. That makes
sense
when the discussion is clarifying the bug and maybe revealing it as a
duplicate,
but here it just slowed the pipeline.
I wasn't being deliberately obtuse either. If I knew you believed the critical
list was clear I would have made noise.

I don't think so, but I remember two other unresolved threads on -bug so I'll
posted suggested closure for these right away.
