That sounds like the best option grammatically, but it lends an absolute
flavor to a statement that can't be supported by evidence.  LilyPond
will not deliver an error, at best a warning, and the results may be
inconsistent.  Thus the construct is best avoided for now (even though
it is an obvious contender for "string chords" once it does work
consistently), but "but any attempts" would not be really supported by
facts.

I'll leave this at a comma.  That was what was there before, and good
grief am I sorry that I tampered with it.
