I've got an archive of a failed build, so will send it to John - once I've
transferred it from my Ubuntu box to my windows machine.

I haven't got any detailed report from anybody so far, but was able to
reproduce the failure on Debian unstable i686 today, so now I can more
easily investigate. It has GNU Make 3.81 (vs. 3.82 on Fedora 17), but I
don't know at the moment whether it's relevant.

I sent a compressed logfile direct to you at 14:04 UTC on 2nd July. Could you check - it might have been classed as spam? I could put it on a website for you to grab if you want.
