I agree.
Personally, I'd love to see it used in the documentation. I wonder if
it's possible to build the documentation using SVGs instead of PNGs..
The documentation would be lighter, faster when browsed online and it
would be possible to immagine advanced features (e.g. point-and-click
from image to source through some javascript).

Possible cons:
- browser compatibility (sensible persons care for it, but I'm not
sensible... especially when it's about _that_ browser)
- output bugs in SVG? I have no idea if here's any, but this would be
the most serious drawback I can think of
