Yes. I’m 100% on board with that. But I personally need to see a complete list 
of granularized tasks/jobs before I can even figure out where *I* best fit in, 
never mind where someone I just met on-list might fit in.

I disagree: my whole point is to get a full, highly-detailed "map" of the 
entire ecosystem, core and non-core, so that the discussion can move forward in 
a more rational way.

That’s a *technical* goal. I’m working on an *organizational* goal [which, 
hopefully, fully supports your technical goal and eases the path to success].
