I've tried compiling several of my files running this version of yours 
inside
Frescobaldi on my Windows 10 system. All worked fine except one. Here's
a MWE which shows the fault I found:

\version "2.20.0"
%\version "2.21.0"
{ R1\fermataMarkup }

The error is

It works fine in Fresco with 2.20.0 and earlier releases.
