You are unlucky, this feature was added in the development version
1.5.3, however the 1.5.x series still has some bugs so I wouldn't
use it for any serious typesetting yet.

You will find the solution (which doesn't work in 1.5.x!)
if you:

- Find the WWW page for the Stable Lilypond series:

- Click on Documentation For users

- Click on lilypond-internals

- Click on Grace

- Scroll down until you find a property named graceAlignPosition

You can also find an example in the file input/regression/
that should be included somewhere in the documentation tree of
the Debian Package.
