compile error, latest CVS 13-April-2

There is no config.cache file.  I did think of that but none exists, at
least not in the root directory of the lilypond source on my machine.  As
for regenerating autoconf; does that mean running ./autogen.sh?  That's how
I did it.  Furthermore, after encountering this error twice I deleted the
entire lilypond source and did a fresh checkout of CVS.  Same errors.

I had no trouble at all with my previous compile effort.  This problem (for
me) started with CVS as of about 12:00GMT 13-April.
