I can use all files without any error, try --verbose as Jan said.
You can also try to run ly2dvi without to -P flag to see if the error occurs
while running dvips; maybe this program does not find the "lily extensions"
(normally /usr/share/lilypond/1.6.10/ps/lilyponddefs.ps and
/usr/share/lilypond/1.6.10/ps/music-drawing-routines.ps as far as I know)
