using Feta outside Lilypond

Hello, all:

Just wondering how I can make Lilypond's fonts (e.g., Feta) available 
to other applications.

Specifically, I want to use Adobe Illustrator to open and edit a 
Lilypond-generated file (PDF or PS); however, when I try, Illustrator 
complains about fonts not being available, and substitutes the 
"default" font (which, of course, is not a music font).

Any thoughts?
