lyrics distance from staff

Try using StaffContext instead of LyricsContext, or add  \set 
Staff.minimumVerticalExtent = #'(0 . 0) to your score to eliminate the spacing 
around the staff.  

Using a positive value in the negative field, like Charles Collins was saying 
about \set Staff.extraVerticalExtent = #'(1 . 0) doesn't seem to work for me in 
the newer versions to move the staffs or lyrics upwards.

the (0 . 0) seems to be the minimum.
