Use gentoo, you will compile anyway ;)

Look closely at the messages -> the error comes from mftrace,
so a good guess would be to upgrade (or sometimes downgrade)
mftrace. In my case that helped under gentoo, but
I don't remember the exact version numbers of the packages involved.
