If you use version 2.2 or 2.4, you can do like in the following example

documentclass[a4paper]{article}

\input{titledefs}

\begin{document}

\fetachar\fetasharp

\end{document}

The font symbol names are defined in the file pointed to by the
command
kpsewhich feta20.tex
