Wouldn't it be possible to just write a Scheme wrapper to the print-function, that first redefines staff-space and line-count and then calls Staff_symbol::print? Then you wouldn' have to hack the C++ code. /Mats Han-Wen Nienhuys wrote:

I know one can use line-count to tell how many lines the Staff will have, but it will always draw consecutive lines, without skipping. what if I want to say "draw the lines 0,2,4". is it possible? No. you'll have to hack.
