I've seen some, but none that really solved my problem. That's why I posted my question. Unless you have a specific link to a thread, a reference to "related emails" does not really help...
For the fonts, check File->Document Properties and click on the Fonts tab to see a list of the fonts. If all fonts are listedas Type 1, then they are not bitmapped, but if any font is listed as Type 3 then it is bitmapped.
Hmm, feta is listed as Type 1, but all the note heads really look blurred in Acrobat compared to a very sharp rendering with Lilypond 2.6.3.
I could live with that, if the printout is OK, but the file size is inacceptable.
