What do you mean by "diatonically".
Do you mean that "c e f g" transposed one note upwards should become "d 
f g a"?
It is quite easy to do this so that it works in c major, but also 
handling other key signatures makes it more tricky. I will not look into 
it before I am sure that I did not misunderstand your request.
