Hello, I'm on Mac OSX 10.4. Do I need to do something special to

the angle brackets in tablature? For what it's worth, I get this
output in my sterr:

programming error: FT_Get_Glyph_Name () error: invalid argument
continuing, cross fingers
programming error: Glyph has no name, but font supports glyph
naming.

I get this both for 2.12 and 2.13. And yes, I've deleted the
~/.fontconfig directory.
I just noticed one other thing:
Did you delete the ~/.lilypond-fonts.cache-2 directory as well?
That's where the Fontconfig cache is created for 2.12 and 2.13.
I hadn't, but I just did, and had the same result.
Okay, I'm testing both "tablature-slide.ly" and
"tablature-harmonic.ly" on OS X 10.5 right now with 2.13.9, and I
cannot reproduce the errors you posted.
However, something is still a little off, but I'm guessing the errors
are silenced due to optimization. Compare the attached images with
the regression test images on lilypond.org.
