It seems that you have looked at the snippet http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/LSR/Item?id=639 The command \shapeSlur which is used in this example is not included in LilyPond by default, but is rather defined within the example file itself. To use it, you have to copy the lines from "shapeSlur =" down to "cords))" into the top of your own .ly file.
