Italian translation?

Italian translation?

In the Gondoliers, the Contadine sing "Per voi, bei signori". According to
Google translate, 'bei' does not exist. Is there an Italian speaker here
who can say whether it is Italian, or whether Gilbert got it wrong?
Thanks. -- Phil Holmes
