I did not investigate further - I am still happy with the 1.2.0 version
:-) - but the error message might be interesting for you.

Hi all,
only four days after 1.9.3 (sorry for the mail-flood:) I release
Frescobaldi 1.9.4 into the wild, to fix the start-up crash on 64-bit
systems.
Also: Engrave custom now works (e.g. to create PNG or SVG) and a
character browser has been added to find special characters from all
unicode blocks (Tools->Special Characters).
Some translations already have been updated.
Please test and hopefully enjoy!
