It causes Lilypond 2.14 to crash on Windows as well, but the development
version (2.15.36, getting close to 2.16) does fine. So this seems to be
an already-fixed bug. Nevertheless, it is being tracked at
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2562
It would be good to find what change to LilyPond avoided the crash, and see
if the underlying problem was really fixed. Jeff included the LilyPond
input in-line in his post, and noted with comments some changes that affect
the bug. It would be helpful if anyone is willing to reduce his example
to a minimal test input.
