This is Issue 1523
My try with Issue 3096 intended to solve it, too, though, it didn't work.
And then I was distracted by other tasks.

For now you could use:
\override BreathingSign #'text =
\markup { \parenthesize \musicglyph #"scripts.rcomma" }
